Texas cookie store SUSPENDS teenage employee who paid for cop's brownie after another customer called him RACIST for not receiving same treatment!
A Texas teenager who was fired after he paid for a brownie for a police officer in line at his cookie stand will be reinstated.
Zachary Randolph, 18, is an employee at Great American Cookies in the Katy Mills Mall in Katy, Texas. But his employment was in jeopardy for a few days after a moment of generosity on the job.
One week ago, a police officer came to Great American Cookies and ordered a brownie, a $2.75 purchase. Randolph offered to pay for the officer’s brownie out of his own money. The police officer thanked him and walked away.
It was the conduct of the next family in line that got Randolph in trouble. When they got to the counter, they asked if he’d be paying for them, too. In a viral Facebook post, Randolph’s mother said her son’s job was threatened and that he was accused of being racist:
My son replied with “I’m sorry I bought his because he is wearing a badge”…… then this customer started verbally attacking him, calling my son a racist, & threatened to beat him up. His wife threatened to go back there and slap him.. The middle aged man sat down his little daughter and tried to come behind the counter to attack him. Thankfully his coworker defused the situation. The man then said “I will get you fired.”
No good deed goes unpunished, and they did issue Randolph a warning and a one-week suspension. Not everyone agreed; Zachary certainly didn’t.
“A lot of people I know my age don’t support police officers. I don’t think it’s fair,” he told Fox26 Houston.
But things were about to change again. As the story got more attention, Great American Cookies executives got the decision reversed. Biju George, the owner and operator of the Katy Mills Great American Cookies, issued this statement:
On behalf of Great American Cookies Katy Mills, we owe the employee an apology. It was never an issue that he purchased a brownie for a police officer, but rather the events that unfolded with another customer in line at the time. However, after further review, we realize that the employee was in fact in the right and we continue to reach out to him and his mom to issue an apology. The corrective action and suspension was reversed immediately and we hope to connect with him today.
In an emailed statement to the Houston Chronicle, Great American Cookies Executive Vice President David Kaiser wrote:
Great American Cookies proudly supports Law Enforcement, First Responders and all who serve our country. […] Though our stores are independently managed and operated, when the situation first arose, we reached out to the franchisee to ensure that the situation was addressed and handled appropriately.

They clearly show the race of the young man (Caucasian) but seem mysteriously silent on the race of the trouble making self-entitled family. Why is that? Are there any readers who did not immediately picture an African-American couple and their child? Why is that? Is it maybe because years of observation have informed us all of what the most likely chance is?
Please, please, please! To all my African American brothers and sisters who may read this, please listen up! As a young man in the 1960s I was a strong supporter of the civil rights movement -- and that was not always a pleasant stance to take back then. I was excited to think that we were moving to a society that would "judge people on the content of their character and not on the colour of their skin." Well, it is half a century later and the judgement is in. The black community has utterly failed to step up and become equal partners with the whites and Asians. Look at the out of wedlock child birth statistics. Look at the crime statistics. Look at drug use statistics. Look at the scholastic levels of black students. White people didn't cause any of that. Yelling "RACISM!" is the all too common response to anyone who points out the truth.
When America was prosperous the non-black community could afford the losses incurred by giving black non-performers a pass. Today, times are getting rough, money is getting tight and the days of buying off the black community with more free stuff are almost over. The rest of America is getting pissed off and if we ever see a race war it will not last long. White folk have a long fuse but remember -- they are the people who wiped out Dresden and burned Hiroshima to ashes. Don't get in a race war.
Please, please, please, to the black community in America. Police yourself, don't stand up for troublemakers, don't make excuses for thugs and thieves. It may already be too late, but unless the majority of African Americans of this country do a quick U-turn to self responsibility, things may get VERY ugly.

All those black people killing black people? Gotta be because of white racism... All those black children with no black father to help raise them? Gotta be because of white racism. All those black students in black schools with black teachers and black principals and black mayors and yet they still can't read at a third grade level? White people did that. Gotta be white racism.
Sure there are a lot of factors for all those things, but white racism is way, way down the list. After fifty years of observation, including going to a majority black high school, a majority black college and living for the last 15 years in a majority black neighborhood, I think I have seen enough to come to a decision. Here is why so many (not all) black people have failed in this life. You ready? Black parents do not say, "YOU'RE WHAT?!" Go ahead and laugh if it makes you feel better.

Most (not all) black parents don't say YOU"RE WHAT?! or don't say it enough. It is child abuse not to say YOU'RE WHAT?!, but way too many black children do not have a father at home, and many don't have a mother around either. Maybe their grandmother is raising them, and she is too old or too tired. The reason may be irrelevant but the child suffers anyway, and eventually the child become an adult who cannot read, cannot keep a job, thinks following the rules of society is for chumps and worst of all, worst of all, is completely unprepared to be a parent of his or her own children.
Blame it on whatever factors you wish, but the truth is, the current situation is untenable. There will be massive tears, but what can't go on won't go on.
