Irish restaurant manager slams Australian tourist who left poor TripAdvisor rating - because the jacket he left behind wasn't immediately posted 10,000 miles home

DON’T mess with the Irish.
An Irish restaurant owner has brutally and hilariously put an Australian tourist back in his place after the petty diner questioned his “integrity” in a negative review on TripAdvisor.
The diner posted the review of Eala Bahn after visiting the restaurant in Sligo, Ireland, with his wife from Australia. And while he admitted that the food was “quite reasonable” he wasn’t so happy with the manager’s service when he accidentally left his jacket at the restaurant.
He said he called the restaurant’s owner, Anthony Gray, who agreed to post it to the couple. But when the jacket, which also had a pair of glasses in the pocket, didn’t arrive within a week, he took it upon himself to leave a scathing review of the manager’s morality.
“When it did not arrive within a week or so, I re-emailed twice with no response,” he said.
“My wife and I have since returned to Australia, short of one jacket and one pair of glasses. Bottom line is food might be O.K. But integrity is seriously lacking.”

Anthony Gray was having absolutely none of this pettiness, leaving an epic reply to the negative review.
“I apologise that I had not immediately sent your belongings back to Australia. I should have done a Joe ninety on it and hot tailed it up to the local post office and made your jacket a priority but unfortunately these things don’t always happen the way you may have planned,” he said.
“I mean I’m only trying to run two restaurants in the middle of summer while my manager, whom I’m delighted to say is 6 months pregnant but unfortunately is suffering, God bless her wee soul and out of work resting which I insisted on!”
He sarcastically apologised for not properly prioritising the jacket over his three young children who run around the house “like gladiators” and rise at dawn “like ninjas”.
And he apologised for not putting the jacket ahead of “busting a gut” to try and promote his beloved hometown, Sligo.
“I love my town, I love it’s people, I love every tourist that graces this beautiful part of the world and provides me and my staff with a living,” Mr Gray wrote.
He then went on to call out the diner for his massive amount of hypocrisy.
“People make mistakes and forget things just like you did with your possessions. But to come on TripAdvisor and review me about my lack of postal skills, honesty and integrity beggars belief considering I never laid my mince pies eyes on you!
“I mean you are butchering my name insofar as my forgetfulness yet it was your forgetfulness that has us here! POT KETTLE BLACK.”
He then hilariously ended the take-down by schooling the diner on Australian weather and his fashion choices.
“Finally I just checked the weather forecast in your part of sunny Australia and I reckon you will be fairly safe insofar as your lack of wind breaker,” he said.
“Furthermore the next time you visit the beautiful Emerald Isle and my County, I’ll bring you shopping locally for a new wind breaker, as far I see it’s a bit of a crime against fashion.”
He then confirmed the jacket was now en route to Australia — and had not even charged the diner for the cost of postage with the credit card details he provided.
Check and mate.
