Obama's parting letter to Trump: Read the four pieces of advice Barack offered Donald in handwritten letter he left in Oval Office desk drawer before leaving the White House

On Sunday CNN released the contents of the letter President Obama wrote for President Trump on his last day in office 

Obama was seen on January 20, 2017 putting the letter into the Resolute Desk, with President Trump showing it off to a White House crowd two days later 

Obama wrote that 'millions' have placed their hopes in Trump and that 'regardless of party' people should hope for 'expanded prosperity and security'

The ex-president told Trump to make time for family and friends, because they'll guide him through his White House years

And Obama also advised that Trump keep democratic institutions and traditions in place, as presidents are only temporary occupants of their office
