This teacher was arrested for sending his naked photos to a 14-year-old, but it gets a lot worse

A 45-year-old Kentwood High School teacher was charged this week with sending explicit Snapchat messages to a student during the course of two years.

Timothy Sean Brennon is a science teacher at the Covington school, but he turned himself in to authorities Jan. 4.

A 17-year-old student at the school told administrators Nov. 7 about the contact after finding out the person who repeatedly sent her photos of his penis and videos of him masturbating was a Kentwood teacher.

The girl told a school resource officer that someone she assumed to be a fellow student contacted her on Snapchat near the start of her freshman year, when she was 14 years old, the incident report says. Within days, that person started sending a stream of sexually explicit comments and sent a picture of an adult male holding his penis. The picture did not show the man's face. When she tried to find out who the person was and how he knew her, that person said he could not tell her "because it would mess up his marriage and his job," according to police reports.

The student claimed that she received such messages from the same account throughout her freshman and sophomore years. Specifically during her sophomore year, the person sent several images of a penis or masturbation videos. She repeatedly told him to stop, but she also tried to engage him in conversation in an effort to learn his identity, court records say.

That same year, she spotted Brennan at the school wearing a dark green jacket and recognized it from the photos she received on Snapchat. She remembered that the man who sent her pictures of himself exposing his penis wore the same dark green jacket, she said. The student looked up Brennan's photo in the school directory and noticed he had the same color hair as the person who was sending her the images.

She reportedly confronted him about it on Snapchat and he allegedly admitted he was a teacher at Kentwood. She told him to stop contacting her. Brennan reportedly did refrain from sending her messages for about a month, but then returned and told her that his classroom had a back office where they could "have some fun," reports say. His requests to take her into his back office were as explicit as asking her to "have sex" with him, according to the incident report. The student said that made her nervous.

The teen also reportedly received at least one email from Brennan sent from his school district email account to hers, inviting her to his classroom to do schoolwork, even though he had never been her teacher.

On two occasions, Brennan had also allegedly shown up at the teen's workplace, once with his family and once by himself. She asked a co-worker to wait on him so she didn't have to, she said.

The girl said that when she spotted Brennan at school Nov. 7, she had a panic attack, prompting her to report the ongoing harassment.

Snapchat videos and photos disappear soon after receipt, but detectives found data to connect the Snapchat account the girl complained about with Brennan, his phone number and his city of residence.

Investigators also found the email Brennan had sent the student on the school district's email system, which said that he noticed she had some missing assignments. The girl responded ,saying she was confused because she was never his student.

Brennan was charged Monday with two counts of immoral communication with a minor. He remains jailed on $150,000 bail.

The Kent School District has not yet responded to SeattlePI requests for more information about Brennan's employment history or status. He remains listed on the school's teacher directory as of Friday evening.

Kentwood Principal John R. Kniseley II sent an email to parents Nov. 30 to inform them of Brennan's removal, but did not elaborate on the details of his case.

"Recently, we received and responded to allegations of inappropriate behavior made against one of our staff members," the email read in part. "Per our policy dealing with student safety, the employee was immediately removed from service, halting any contact with students. Local law enforcement was then notified, and the school district has been cooperating fully with the police investigation."
