Ram-raid in progress! Dramatic footage captures masked thieves using stolen farm digger to SMASH a gaping hole in village shop and haul out the cash machine

Dramatic footage shows masked thieves using a stolen farm digger to break into a newsagents to steal an ATM.
The gang of raiders used a farm digger to rip the cash machine from the wall, leaving a gaping hole in the front of the building in Long Melford, Suffolk.
The early-morning robbery, which lasted only a few minutes, ended when the gang lifted the automated teller on to a Nissan pick-up truck and sped off.
Police said that the building is now deemed unsafe to enter and will require a full building survey.
They also said the telehandler was stolen from a farm in Pentlow, Essex, hours before the theft. The gang also used a blue Audi as a getaway car.
A Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said in a statement:  'Officers were called just before 3am yesterday morning  to reports that a digger was trying to remove a cash machine from the wall of McColl's in Hall Street.

It is the second time in less than a year that Long Melford has been targeted by ATM raiders – in November last year the Co-op was hit.
