'Kill it, please!': Cop shoots man armed with crowbar after taser fails to stop him running at officer in body cam footage

This is the tense moment a cop shoots down a escaped suspect in a quiet neighbourhood after being chased with a crowbar-like object.
Body cam footage shows Officer Brandon Lee running after suspect Kirk Dustin Shields, who then turns on him with the weapon.
The scary ordeal occurred on West Park Place near Oklahoma city centre.
Officer Lee can be seen observing the suspect, said to be from the Department of Corrections, from across the road in his police patrol car.
As the suspect begins to run, the cop gets out and chases him on foot to the back of 2608 West Park Place.
As he reaches the back of the house, the man pulls a crowbar-like weapon and takes aim at the officer.
As the suspect begins to run to the east the officer jumps out of his car and gives chase around the back of a house on a quiet street

Quick to react, the Officer Lee discharges his taser at the man.
But the use of the taser seems to only provoke the man further, causing him to run for the officer who is forced to retreat.
The pair ran back out onto the front lawn of the property, where the cop fires a round of shots at the man, who eventually falls to the floor on the lawn.

The man begins to scream out as the officer tells him to remain still.
He shouts, 'Kill it, kill it please', although it is unknown what he is talking about.
In a weird moment while the officer waits for backup, the man shouts at him 'you're dying', only for him to respond, 'no, no I'm good'.
After the arrest, suspect Kirk Dustin Shields was transported to a local hospital and was diagnosed with non-life threatening injuries.
