Pro Tip: When your internet goes down, threaten to fix it yourself (10 Photos)
If there’s one thing we can universally agree upon when it comes to our Internet providers, is that it’s never as fast as advertised, there’s always a catch, and if it goes down, then it’s a pain in the ass to get someone to fix it. Honestly, I’m not sure which I hate more; these guys or my cable guy. Thankfully, there are some enterprising people out there who know how to get things done.
Probably because they’re without wifi and have nothing better to do. But I digress. I’m not sure who the original poster is, or where this happened, but an exchange was shared on the Neighbours from Hell Instagram between an internet-less customer and Spectrum customer support.
It’s just perfect.
It starts off as a regular interaction, that we’re all too familiar with.
But our customer isn’t satisfied with the answer.
So he starts to troll the customer service guy with the initials “JK.”
Even he can’t tell it’s a joke.
JK keeps on trying to dissuade our DIY master, who’s really pushing it with the oven mitts.
That’s a hilarious touch.
Aaaaaand a hard hat. It’s too perfect!
Now he’s just sprinkling it on.
Meanwhile, JK’s probably on the phone screaming at dispatch that an idiot is about to do something stupid.
This is fucking hilarious.
He keeps going.
I don’t know whether he took these images from Google, or if they actually did the climb.
The second option really shows the commitment to the bit. But it’s probably Google.
Aaand success. A tech has arrived. Everyone’s happy, and there’s Wifi.
Seems like the threat of a liability or lawsuit is the trick to getting speedy internet repair.
Gonna take a note of that.
