Putin Injects Himself Into Chaos Over Laptop Story, Media Falls For it, Hook, Line and Sinker (3 Cartoons)

While a bulk of the mainstream media still refuses to cover, with any significance, the Hunter Biden laptop story which would likely completely derail former Vice President Joe Biden’s chances at winning the White House, they were more than happy to cover statements from Russian President Vladimir Putin over the weekend, who seemingly slammed the president for accusing the younger Biden of any wrongdoing in his country.

A Reuters report covered by NBC News on Sunday was quick to cover the story only because Putin, during an address to his country over the weekend, appeared to have taken shots at President Donald Trump over accusations he’s made against Hunter Biden and Joe Biden, especially during last week’s debate when he accused the elder Biden of taking large payments through his son from an influential Moscow woman.

Here’s what the Russian president said with regard to the growing Biden scandal:

“Yes, in Ukraine he [Hunter Biden] had or maybe still has a business, I don’t know. It doesn’t concern us. It concerns the Americans and the Ukrainians,” Putin said.

“But well yes he had at least one company, which he practically headed up, and judging from everything he made good money. I don’t see anything criminal about this, at least we don’t know anything about this [being criminal].”

Putin apparently also wasn’t happy about the accusations that the widow of the former mayor of Moscow provided Hunter Biden with millions of dollars — for unknown reasons. Evidence from the laptop clearly revealed some kind of relationship between the two, but not surprisingly, the accusation was written off by the Russian president.

NBC News reported that Putin’s statements seemed to be an attempt to “curry favor with the Biden camp” prior to the November 3 election. And it doesn’t take a degree in geopolitical politics to understand why Putin — contrary to popular mainstream media opinion — would love to have Biden as the U.S. president over Trump.

The president — again, contrary to most reports in the media — has been more than tough on Russia on a number of foreign policy levels, making it much more difficult for Putin to play the types of games he played when Barack Obama was president.

Most Democrats talk tough when asked about how they would deal with Putin and Russia, but at the end of the day, as we’ve seen in previous administrations, they end up at Russia’s beck-and-call.

It’s crystal clear that America’s adversaries, like Russia, China and Iran, would love nothing more than to have a frail, compromised, 77-year-old career politician like Joe Biden as the U.S. president, as he could be forced to facilitate untold numbers of deals that would be great for them and terrible for America.

I wouldn’t be surprised to learn of a coordinated effort by the aforementioned countries to give Biden every possibly advantage over the next eight days.
