    And when you 4 years old somebody else paid for your care too. So effing what? Grow up and take care of yourself.

      so why do the Congress/US president gets special medical coverage that no ordinary US citizen can get then? If what you suggest is true, then the Congress people should also grow up and take care of themselves too, right?

      YES! Yes, yes, yes!!

      The main reason why medical care in the US is so very expensive is that the political class has passed law after law after law which creates a system where doctors, hospitals, drug companies, and health insurance companies all have a monopoly. It is similar to the old guild system of the Middle Ages -- except that this is the 21st Century and the politicians will send someone to arrest you if you try to operate outside the "legal" framework of care.

      When government and corporations merge... it's only the rest of the free world that can work out how to give their people affordable healthcare... the US Government gives corporations control and washes their hands of the responsibility.

    Government is nothing but overhead. Injecting government into anything just makes it more expensive. Look a college and how government loans have hiked tuition.?
