At least 11 New Yorkers were shot on Black Friday and three on Thanksgiving Day as gun violence continued to embroil the city over the holiday weekend.
The summer crime wave that hit New York City has transitioned into autumn.
One Black Friday shooting took place at at 6.10pm in the Bronx. The New York Post reports that a argument broke out and a 44-year-old man was shot in the chest and transported to Barnabas Hospital.
The shooting victim was expected to survive.
Two men, both aged 28, were shot 40 minutes later while standing in front of residential apartments at 25 Tennis Court in Brooklyn.

The Post reports that the gunman escaped the scene in a black Grand Cherokee while authorities rushed there.
One victim suffered a gunshot wound to his forearm and hip, while the second victim was shot in the foot. They were taken to Kings County Hospital.
At 7pm, a shooting victim walked into the Staten Island University Hospital with a bullet graze wound on his head.
The Post reports that the victim claimed to have been shot near Park Hill Avenue in Staten Island, but they were uncooperative with authorities.
Nearly 90 minutes later on Black Friday, a Brooklyn man walked into Brookdale Hospital at 8.26pm after being struck.

He claimed to have been shot while near a residence at 417 East 55th Street in Brooklyn. His injuries were reportedly non-life-threatening injuries.
An argument in Brooklyn resulted in a 40-year-old being shot in the leg around 10:35pm near 599 Utica Avenue, The Post reports.
The individual was taken to Kings County Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 30-year-old suspect fled the area.
Five minutes later, a man standing at East 42nd Street and Lenox Road in Brooklyn was struck. The 40-year-old was reportedly uncooperative with police.
A 32-year-old man was struck in the ankle around 11.45pm, The Post reports, after a man opened fire into a group of people near 280 Henry Street in Manhattan.
The suspect fled the scene. The victim was taken to Cornell Hospital by private means for treatment.

Additionally, a 24-year-old Brooklyn man was struck in the leg at 4am on Atlantic Avenue and a 28-year-old suffered a similar injury on Friday at 2pm near Sheridan Avenue in Cypress Hills.
The most recent Thanksgiving weekend shooting was recorded in Queens, where emergency crews were dispatched at 2.20am on Saturday.
The incident happened near the intersection of Linden Boulevard and the Van Wyck Expressway. No other details were disclosed.
On Thanksgiving Day, at least three residents were victims of gun violence.
The Post reports that a 25-year-old man was shot in the groin during an argument at 11.50pm at the intersection of 162nd Street and Anderson Avenue in the Bronx. He was taken to Lincoln Medical Center.
In Crown Heights, one resident took a bullet to the stomach and one in the leg just before 6pm. Details of that shooting are unclear.
And a man walking around Harlem on Thanksgiving was shot and taken to Cornell Hospital.
A teenage girl told The Post that she was with the 28-year-old victim at the time of the shooting, but police said the man was alone.

None of the shooting victims in New York City died as a result of their injuries.

Crime data shared by the NYPD showed the climbing crime rate, which included 1,714 shooting victims and 1,395 separate incidents.
As of November 22, NYPD Compstat reported 1,704 shooting victims compared to the 840 recorded during the same time last year. That's a 102.9 per cent increase.
Shooting incidents rose by 95.8 per cent so far this year with 1,386 shooting incidents - up from 708 up to November 2019.
The murder rate increased by 36.8 per cent increase with 112 more victims in November 2020 than in November 2019.
