'Bye Karen!' Moment plane passengers erupt into applause after woman who refused to wear a mask and called a flight attendant an 'a*****e' is removed from their Frontier Airlines flight
Frontier Airlines passengers burst into applause after a woman who refused to wear a mask was kicked off the plane.
In video shared on Twitter by Griffin Frank, a writer for Fox & Friends, the unnamed woman was on a flight from Cincinnati to Tampa on Thursday.
A flight attendant approached the woman and told her she needed to wear a face covering, per the airline's policy, or she would be asked to leave.
After the woman declined to do so, and cursed at the employee, she was removed from the aircraft to the cheers of those around her.

The video, which was recorded by a passenger behind the woman, appears to have been taken while the plane was still at the gate.
'Ma'am you need to have a mask on. You need to have the paper mask they provided,' the flight attendant, wearing a green uniform, says in the video.
When the woman appears to ignore her, the attendant tries again.
'Ma'am, I'm speaking to you. Ma'am? Ma'am? I'm speaking to you,' the employee says.
'You have to wear your mask the whole entire flight. If you're unable to do so you will be removed from the flight.'
The flight attendant then walks away to deal with other duties.
It's at this point that the woman says: 'Thanks, a*****e.'
'Okay, you're done. Let's go,' the flight attendant responds.
The passengers sitting next to the woman are seen standing up so she can be escorted off the plane.
'You're getting off the aircraft, please, c'mon,' the flight attendant says.
'You're done, you're not going to speak to me like that. You have to comply. You agreed to this when you checked into our flight and you bought your ticket so I need you to get off the aircraft at this time.'

It is unclear if the woman was required to pay a fine or if she was banned from flying Frontier in the future. Pictured: The woman exiting the plane
In a second video, a security guard boards to escort the woman off the plane and take her luggage out of the overhead bin.
As the woman leaves, still not wearing a mask, someone yells: 'Bye, Karen!'
The remaining passengers then begin clapping and thanking the guards for getting her off the flight.
'Frontier Airlines' face covering policy is clearly explained during the reservations and check-in process, during boarding and onboard the aircraft,' a spokeswoman told DailyMail.com.
'Face coverings are required throughout a traveler’s journey when flying with Frontier.'
The spokeswoman added the woman is banned from flying Frontier in the future and has been placed on their 'Prevent Departure List.'
The flight, F9 1759, was not delayed by her actions and left Cincinnati, whose airport is in Kentucky, on time and also reached its destination on time, flight data shows.
