You, me, or a cop can kill anyone. It doesn't make it legal, and it doesn't remove anyone's right to bear arms. If a cop drives through a red light and kills a pedestrian, it doesn't take away the right to be a pedestrian.
It takes away our rights if the cop can do those things and not get arrested and punished for it.
