Andrew Cuomo’s ex-aide says embattled NY Governor refused to hire a woman because she was ‘not pretty enough’ while working in Clinton Administration after claiming he was 'aroused' during ‘too long’ hug
A woman who worked for Andrew Cuomo when he was a part of the Clinton Administration claims the embattled NY Governor once refused to hire a woman because 'she wasn't pretty enough.'
Karen Hinton, who worked as Cuomo's press aide when he served as then-president Bill Clinton's housing secretary, spoke out about her time on Cuomo's DC staff during interview with the New York Post on Monday.
Hinton told the news outlet that she had recommended a woman who had 'worked on Capitol Hill for years' for a position on Cuomo's staff but he refused to hire her due to her physical appearance.
According to Hinton, the candidate had a 'very good understanding of Capitol Hill politics and policy'.
'She came in for an interview and I sat in since I had recommended her, and he said to me after, 'No, I don't think so,'' she said. 'I asked, 'Why?' He said, 'She's not pretty enough. I don't like the way she looks.''

Hinton also claimed that Cuomo was 'amused' by the sex scandal involving then-president Bill Clinton (right) and his intern, Monica Lewinsky (left), and said the incident was 'funny'
The former staffer claimed that Cuomo was 'amused' by the sex scandal involving Clinton and his intern, Monica Lewinsky, that ultimately led to the president's impeachment in 1998 after he admitted lying about their affair, which included sex in the Oval Office and a cigar being used as an adult toy.
'I remember him laughing about the Monica Lewinsky situation, not because he didn't believe her — he did — but because he thought it was funny,' she said. 'There were jokes made about it because of the cigars.'
Hinton previously accused Cuomo of inappropriate sexual behaviors. She claims the now-governor became physically 'aroused' when he gave her a hug, that she describes as being 'too tight' and 'too long,' in a Los Angeles hotel room.
The incident, which allegedly occurred in December 2000, is mentioned twice in New York Attorney General Letitia James' bombshell report investigating the sexual harassment allegations against Cuomo.
The report, which was released last week, accuses Cuomo of sexually harassing 11 women. Hinton is not among those women because James' report only focused on alleged incidents that took place during his stint as governor.

Hinton also accused Andrew Cuomo (pictured) of inappropriate sexual behaviors. Her claims are mentioned in the NY Attorney General's sex pest report, however she is not one of the 11 women listed in the report because it only focuses on allegations during his role as governor
The governor, who has not been seen in public since the report came out, released a pre-recorded video statement where he denied having ever 'touched anyone inappropriately' suggesting James' investigation had been politically motivated.
Now, Cuomo is facing pressure to resign and the threat of impeachment.
The New York State Assembly's Judiciary Committee Charles Lavine said on Monday that the committee would hold two executive sessions to discuss its ongoing impeachment inquiry of Cuomo on August 16 and August 23, followed by at least two public hearings, where experts will be called to testify on sexual assault and harassment and the impeachment process itself.
The Committee will recommend whether to impeach Cuomo after fully reviewing the evidence, he said.
Officials expect the impeachment probe process to conclude very soon.
