Marjorie Taylor Greene hits the Iowa State Fair ahead of an America First rally with Matt Gaetz after calling Biden a 'piece of s**t' for his catastrophic Afghan withdrawal

Shortly before hosting a rally in Iowa Thursday, Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene made an appearance at the Iowa State Fair - just one day after she referred to President Joe Biden as 'a piece of s**t'.

The Georgia congresswoman and controversial Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) were in Iowa to host what they're calling an America First rally at 7pm at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines.

Ahead of the rally she stopped at the state fair, where she rode down giant slides, took part in a Marine Corps pull-up challenge and answered questions from reporters.

When asked about her political career and whether or not she sees a future in the White House, Greene answered: 'My sole focus is putting America first and that means in any capacity.'

'America is failing the American people. I mean the Congress is, and so is the federal government,' she added.

Greene didn't hold back, and continued to criticize the infrastructure bills in Congress, which refers to as a Green New Deal that helps China.

Just one day before she and Gaetz appeared in Iowa, Greene posted a fiery video online criticizing Joe Biden for pulling out US troops from Afghanistan shortly before the Taliban sized control.

In the video, posted to right-wing social media site Gettr, Greene says: 'Joe Biden, you're not a president, you're a piece of s**t.'

'Thousands of Americans are stuck over there in Afghanistan, and you're letting the Taliban kick your ass, while you're lecturing governors about masks and vaccines. Do your job, bring these Americans home,' she added.

Greene is of course is referring to the thousands of Americans who are still stranded in Afghanistan after the Taliban assumed control of the country Sunday.

In contrast, Greene's complaint on Biden disregards the severity of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in the US, particularly in her home state of Georgia.

After being banned from Twitter for a week in July, Greene continued to spread COVID-19 disinformation, denying that hospitals are seeing a surge in COVID patients and also claiming COVID vaccines aren't working.

Earlier this month, Greene appeared on The Water Cooler on the right-wing Real America's Voice, and told host Anna Perez she had talked to hospital administrators in her district and in her state.

'Yes, the waiting rooms get full. But guess what, the waiting rooms are full of all kinds of things, not just COVID - car accidents, trauma, other illnesses, cancer and so-forth,' Greene said.

Greene claimed that while news reports said hospitals  were 'slam-packed' with COVID, 'that's just not the case.'

'Everyone needs to get back down to common sense and remember that, you know, we're human, we can't live forever, we are going to catch all kinds of diseases and illnesses and other viruses and we get hurt sometimes,' the congresswoman argued.

News reports from Georgia, including one Tuesday from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, said hospitals are in 'crisis mode' because of the surge in COVID patients.

In five of the state's 14 hospital regions there were fewer than 10 ICU beds open for incoming patients.

Recent data analyzed by the Kaiser Family Foundation found that in the states that track vaccinated versus unvaccinated COVID infections, 94-plus percent of COVID cases were among those who were unvaccinated.
