ReplyDeleteAll the crocodile tears for the women of Afghanistan! Back in the 70s Afghanistan had a secular government, with Soviet aid they were modernising the country's institutions and infrastructure, girls could go to school, women could work, wear western attire and no forced marriages. Were there any tears for the women of Afghanistan when the US decided to support, fund and arm an extremist Islamist jihad to bring down that government? If the US had not trashed Afghanistan back then, it would be a modern secular nation today, and like all the other 'stanis would now be a US ally with the permanent US military bases that the US intended to establish when they invaded the country.
